you may be familiar with RGB color mode (one of the most common digital color formats). for the rgb shifting work i’ve posted so far, i’ve been remixing old work by moving the color channels around independently of each other. so for a simple example:
if i move the red channel one way, the green channel another way, and the blue channel yet another way, then i get something like this:
the works that i’ve been remixing have been from my “big pixels” series, which involves cropping the most interesting bits of glitched/bent images and then blowing them up real big. but pretty soon i’ll probably move on to creating “original” rgb shift stuff (works that aren’t remixes of existing work).
